South Holderness Swimming Club is committed to protecting children from violence, exploitation, abuse and neglect.

The welfare of children is the responsibility of everyone involved with the swimming club.

If you have any concerns about the safety of any child within the club or the behaviour of any adults please talk to our welfare officers.

Wavepower: Swim England's safeguarding policy and procedures

Wavepower is Swim England’s safeguarding policy and procedures document.

Its aim is to ensure everyone is able to enjoy our sports and aquatic activity in a safe, positive and enjoyable environment in line with current legislation, regulations and guidance.

All Swim England affiliated clubs and organisations must adopt Wavepower, the current version can be downloaded here.

Safeguarding Resources for Children

Swim England provide safeguarding resources for children to help them feel confident in asking for help, should they need it.

Primary school leaflet – for eight years upwards

Simple and easy, you can read this together with your child, or they can read it themselves.

This leaflet will help younger children to understand what to do if they are not happy or feeling something is wrong.
